Vapir is one of the pioneers in vaping industry and their Vapir N02 was one of the very first handheld vaporizers that were sold commercially. The N02 dominated the market until newer, more portable vaporizers were introduced and the N02 faded into the background. Vapir Prima then went on to introduce the VapirRise 1.0, and then an improved version the VapirRise 2.0. Today we’ll review Vapir Prima vaporizer, their latest offering, and see if it’s worth the $259.99 price tag.
Vapir Prima Rating: 89/100

Design and Build Quality

The Vapir Prima comes in an extremely impressive brushed aluminum body and you can choose from four Vapir Prima Vaporizer Designdifferent colors: silver, orange, blue and black. You feel quality and durability the moment you hold it. What we really loved about the Prima is that it has many removable components which make cleaning very easy. The agronomic design is really easy to hold in your clenched hand and the mouthpiece has an ideal, natural shape. Measuring just 4×1, this surely is a sturdy, portable and elegant vaporizer.

When it comes to performance, the Vapir Prima offers a mixed bag. First of all, it does not come with the precise temperature control as the previous models by Vapir or other modern vaporizers. It only comes with four preset temperature settings which you can choose using the only button. The four levels are Level 1 (350° F – 360° F), Level 2 (365° F – 375° F), Level 3 (380° F – 390° F) and Level 4 (390° F – 400° F). Although these four settings offer great vapor quality and fair amount of customization, however, those who want to take their experience to the next level will have a hard time feeling satisfied.

On the flip side, Prima offers great precision because of a unique heating chamber that makes the vapor go through a screen and then a stainless steel pathway before reaching the mouthpiece. This not only cools down the vapor but also makes cleaning the unit very easy. It, however, comes at the cost of too much heat generated around the chamber, after extended vape sessions at higher levels. The good thing is that the manufacturer has included a custom silicone sleeve that you can fit over the cap, but this increases the overall size of the gadget.

Vapor Quality, Battery life, and Ease of Use

Despite fewer options and low-temperature levels, you get immensely flavored and consistent vapor. In fact, the vapor you get is on a par with the likes of Mighty and Crafty. It has impressive airflow and low draw-resistance because of the well-thought-out cap that has air holes in it.

In terms of ease of use and interface, Vapir Prima is pretty similar to the Arizer Air. The one-button operation makes using the unit a breeze, but at the same time makes the learning curve steep as you have to memorize what different sequences of clicks and LED lights mean. Its small size makes it pocket-friendly, and ideal for vaping on the go plus the curved shape is easy to hold. Loading it is very easy, thanks to the scoop provided. The design of the chamber and the detachable parts make it very easy to clean. Charging or changing the batteries is also easy, all you need to open the battery compartment is slide the cover and that’s it.

It comes with a 3200 mAh removable battery that offers a decent battery life, and you can vape a little longer than one hour without having to recharge. The Vapir Prima heats up pretty quickly, in about 20-40 seconds, so it draws a lot of battery power when you first start it. While the battery life is good, it isn’t great. However, the good thing is that you can easily swap batteries, and can keep vaping continuously.

Final verdict

The Prima is unarguably the best product by Vapir so far, and definitely one of the very best products available on the market. Beautiful design, great performance and top-notch vapor quality, that’s what it has to offer. Top that off with 5-year warranty (with 2-year warranty on the battery). Vapir seems to have perfected the Prima after flirting with a variety of different options in the past. It surely is a big improvement over the N02 and outperforms most of the competitors in its class, hands down. The only reason you could want to stay away from the Prima is if you want more customization and more control over your vaporizer. Other than that, Vapir Prima can be a godsend for those who want a smooth, rich flavor, no matter they’re vaping form the comfort of their couch or are vaping on the go.
