First Impressions
DaVinci Vaporizer

Design: Out of the box, the DaVinci looks as solid as it feels. There is a soft rubberized coating that gives users a better grip on the device. The unit also has an extended mouthpiece, apart from the regular one, that allows users to vape on the device while it is stored in one’s shirt pocket. The mouthpiece itself is soft and is made of a carbon fiber blend that is tough, yet pleasant on the lips. There are three buttons on the face of the device and a small LED screen that doesn’t look cluttered. Overall, the DaVinci is a well-designed, quality device worthy of any vaper’s attention.

Build Quality: High quality materials are used in the overall build of the DaVinci, which makes it one of the toughest vaporizers in the market today. The mouthpiece is made of a carbon fiber blend that can take a lot of abuse, unlike the glass tubes of other devices. Solidly built, it can be dropped, thrown out of a window, and handled roughly without skipping a beat. Only a few vaporizers in this price range can match the DaVinci’s overall toughness and durability. There is also a two year manufacturer warranty to protect consumers from defects. It’s highly unlikely one will need it.

What’s in the Box: Users who buy a DaVinci Vaporizer will also get one cleaning brush, one 110v-240v wall charger, one flex straw, one snorkel flex straw, a pack of three large replacement screens, six small replacement screens, two oil cans, one instruction manual, a quick start guide, and a vaporizer temperature guide.

Vaping Experience

Usability: Using the DaVinci is very straightforward. Filling the heating chamber with dry herb or oils is pretty obvious and quite simple to do. Even the unit’s temperature control is easy to set up. Using it is a breeze and new users won’t have a problem figuring it out even without an instruction manual.

If there’s one thing that’s difficult with the DaVinci, it’s cleaning it. There are two screens inside the unit; one can be detached by unscrewing the steel disc that holds it, while the other is a bit more difficult to remove. The second screen is located inside the heating chamber near the bottom of the device. This makes it hard to access, thus difficult to remove. This can easily be done if you have a long needle (like for crocheting or knitting). It can be removed using the end of the included steel brush, but this can still be difficult. A knitting needle will save you a lot of time and frustration.

Another useful feature that the DaVinci has is the presence of two “hidden” compartments. One is located inside the unit. There is a secret door where users can stash their dry herb or concentrates. It’s not huge, but it’s useful for times when one wishes to bring just one device, without any extra baggage. Another compartment is a storage area where the brush can be stowed. This is a small, but great addition, because without it, the brush can very easily become lost.

Vapor Production and Performance: Vapor production of the DaVinci is excellent, thanks to the accurate temperature control. The small screen on the front of the device shows what temperature the unit is set to and offers precise tweaking, if needed.

The maximum temperature of the device can reach 405°F, which is excellent for a unit this size. Whether using dry herb or oil concentrates, vapor quality is tasty and clean. No plastic aftertaste can be detected, even if the mouthpiece is not glass.

Overall, the performance of this unit is up there with the best of them. Other, more expensive, devices work better, but for the price and size of the DaVinci, it’s an impressive piece of kit.

Battery Life and Atomizers: Battery life of the DaVinci is decent and is able to last around eight fills. It won’t last a whole day, so users who need to travel with it can purchase an optional car charger so they can charge while on-the-go.

The heating chamber is made of bronze, which accounts for the device’s clean taste. This is because the melting point of bronze is high, meaning herbs will be vaporized first. This ensures no bronze residue will be inhaled, even on long vape sessions. It also heats up fairly quickly; about a minute and half at medium temperatures. Obviously, heating times are shorter for lower temperatures and higher when pushed to the max.

Additional Details

Overall, the DaVinci is a solid little vaporizer that performs well. Temperature control is extremely accurate and vapor quality is impressive. It also vaporizes both botanicals and oil efficiently and effectively, making it perfect for users of both materials.

Vapers looking for a tough device that’s portable, accurate, a great performer, and easy-to-use, will find that the DaVinci is more than worth it. This is especially true when considering its reasonable price of $200. While cleaning the unit can be difficult, it’s a small quirk compared to how massively impressive it performs.
