First Impressions
arizer-solo-vaporizer-reviewed

Design: Bigger than other portable vaporizers, the Arizer Solo looks more like a household appliance than a vaporizer. A glass tube extends out the top, which makes it a little difficult to carry around. It is recommended that users remove the mouthpiece before transporting the device.

Build Quality: The Arizer Solo is built like a tank. Use it daily, drop it, heat it for extended periods of time; the Solo will still function perfectly. A heavy-duty vaporizer, this device can take some serious abuse and still serve the user well for many years.

What’s in the Box: Included in the box with the Arizer Solo Vaporizer is one straight glass draw stem, one bent glass draw stem, one glass potpourri bowl, one battery charger, and a user guide.

Vaping Experience

Usability: The Arizer Solo takes some getting used to at first, especially when it comes to the first draw. To get a good draw from the unit, one must take long, steady inhales. Consistent users will be rewarded with pleasurable vape all the time.

The glass stems come in straight and bent versions and can be interchanged, depending on which suits the user best. The glass tubes ensure the user gets a cool and pure-tasting vape, but because it is made of glass, one must detach it prior to transport to avoid breakage.

There is also a temperature control to help the user determine the perfect vape setting. It can take some trial and error to find the correct temperature, but once it is set, it will not need to be adjusted again.

Vapor Production and Performance: The vapor from the Arizer Solo is excellent. Herbs are vaporized efficiently, and the taste is pure without any aftertaste. Other vaporizers give off smells like burnt plastic when the herb is almost used up, but with the Arizer Solo, there are no such problems.

Overall performance is excellent. The glass tubes produce a clean flavor, as does the unit itself. Power is easily adjusted to suit one’s tastes, and refilling is a breeze.

Battery Life and Atomizers: Battery life is good, but not great. Vape times last approximately an hour; enough to last a day. Recharge times are also quick, taking just an hour to fully recharge.

The unit alerts the user when the battery is running low. To help conserve battery life, the device automatically shuts down when not in use.

Although users can use the Arizer Solo during charging, they should be advised that the charging port is located at the bottom of the device, preventing it from being set in an upright position while the cord is connected.

The heating chamber is efficient, as well, with heating times at about a minute. For the best vapor, try to wait two minutes, as many users found that giving the device a little more time to fully heat up gives off the best vapor quality.

Additional Details

Despite being in the market for several years now, the fact that the Arizer Solo is still the top portable vaporizer speaks for its longevity and overall performance.

While too bulky to fit in pockets, the device is still portable enough to fit in bags and purses. Care should be taken when transporting, because of the glass tubes.

Vapor production is top-notch, though the draw is something to get used to. With practice, it becomes easier. Battery life is good and the build quality is superb.

While the only issues are the draw and the bulk, these are easily made up for by the Arizer Solo’s overall performance.

If you don’t mind purchasing a vaporizer that’s a few years old, the Arizer Solo is a sound buy. While it’s not the newest kid on the block, it still outperforms most of the newer devices that are in the market today.
