First Impressions

da-buddha-vaporizer

Design: Simple in design, the Da Buddha Vaporizer is cylindrical with a wide base and it doesn’t have any pretensions of what it’s supposed to be. It is there to vaporize herbs and do it well.

Build Quality: Built to last, the Da Buddha Vaporizer is likely the most durable desktop vaporizer in the market today. Users, who’ve had theirs for years, still use them regularly without any problems.

Composed of just a few pieces, there are no small parts that can easily get broken or lost. It comes with a three-year warranty, though it will most likely last far longer than that.

What’s in the Box: Apart from the vaporizer, the Da Buddha also comes with a glass mouthpiece, a three-inch whip tubing, one glass wand, three replacement screens, one stir tool, one padded hemp travel bag, and one user manual.

Vaping Experience

Usability: The simplicity of the Da Buddha’s design extends to its use. To fill the vaporizer, users insert about 0.2 grams of herb at the end of the wand and turn it on. Heating to the desired temperature takes about four minutes, and one can adjust the heat via the knob on the face of the device. The knob doesn’t have any markers, so it takes a bit of trial and error to find the right setting.

The wand attaches to the vaporizer itself, and once inserted, it stays fixed, so users don’t have to hold it in place while in use. A bag is also included, which makes transporting easier.

Because the Da Buddha doesn’t have an overabundance of parts, it is very easy to clean and not prone to breakage.

Vapor Production and Performance: Vapor from the Da Buddha is very good; clean and even, without any aftertaste.

Overall performance is impressive for such a simple design. There is only a heating element and a tube to draw vapor from, with a knob to adjust temperature. There are no LEDs, nor any extra features, and while it can’t vaporize oil or wax (only dry herb), it works very well.

Battery Life and Atomizers: Because the Da Buddha is a desktop vaporizer, it uses a power cord to draw power from, rather than a battery. Thus, the vaporizer is perfect for long vaping sessions or all-nighters without having to worry about battery life.

As for the heating element, it is also angled in such a way that it’s difficult to spill herb into it by accident. It also vaporizes herbs efficiently in that you don’t have to pack the herb tightly to get an even vape.

Additional Details

Big, solid, and clunky, the Da Buddha is designed to be used at home. It can be transported from one house to another, but it is definitely not a vaporizer for those who are always on-the-move.

Simplicity is what the Da Buddha is all about. Whether in design, in use, or in function, this vaporizer is a counterpoint to what other high-end desktop vaporizers with high-tech features have to offer.

If you are more inclined to use sleek, modern-looking devices with a slew of features, you are best served looking elsewhere. Be prepared to pay a lot more than what you would pay for the Da Buddha Vaporizer.

If you are looking for an affordable, no-frills home vaporizer that performs well, the Da Buddha Vaporizer is the one to get.
