First Impressions

Design: From the packaging to the contents, Vapor Couture has put a lot of thought into the design of their products. The rechargeable battery is a sleek-looking device, with a brushed metal finish that comes in a variety of colors. There is also a signature jeweled tip at the end that glows when in use and is surprisingly not tacky. Cartridges match the battery’s color and when attached, make for a seamless look.

The Entreé Kit also includes a disposable battery. It looks similar to the rechargeable battery, but one can feel it is of lesser quality. Still, it looks and feels great.

Build Quality: The build quality of the rechargeable battery is good. It is machined well and no imperfections can be seen in either the battery or the cartridge. The finish and color are beautifully made and the jeweled tip doesn’t look like it would fall off easily. While the device could survive a few bumps and bruises, its thin design still requires users to take care.

The disposable battery, on the other hand, is more flimsy. But this is to be expected since it was not designed to last. It is made well for what it is and one can expect the unit to last until it runs out of e-juice.

What’s in the Box: Vapor Couture Entreé Kits include one rechargeable battery, one USB smart charger, six Vapor Couture flavor cartridges, and one Vapor Couture Disposable.

Vaping Experience

Usability: The Entreé Kit comes with two batteries: one rechargeable and one disposable. Both are very simple to use. The rechargeable battery is charged by screwing it into the included smart adapter. This is then plugged into a USB powered port or a wall charger. There is a light on the charger to indicate when the battery is fully charged.

Once charged, users take one cartridge and after removing the seals, it is screwed onto the battery. It is then ready to use. The disposable battery, on the other hand, needs no charging. It is ready to use out-of-the-box.

Both are used the same way. One simply takes the e-cigarette to one’s mouth and starts puffing. Mind you, these aren’t real cigarettes, so puffing harder won’t create more vapor. Instead, take long, slow drags. The longer you puff, the more vapor will be produced.

Vapor Production and Performance: For cig-a-likes, the batteries in the Entreé Kit produce decent vapor. The rechargeable battery creates more vapor than the disposable one. Either way, the vapor produced from the two is good enough to at least curb cigarette cravings. As long as users take long, slow drags, enough vapor will be produced to satisfy them. Overall performance is pretty much on-par with other cig-a-likes.

Battery Life and Atomizers: Battery life on the rechargeable battery is not very good. It only lasts about 45 minutes of vape time. Casual vapers may make it last for half a day, but those who take more frequent puffs will be disappointed. Unless you upgrade to a kit with two rechargeable batteries, it’s best to invest in Vapor Couture’s portable charging kit.

The disposable battery, on the other hand, is good for about 250 puffs, after which, it is discarded. This is typical for disposables and is to be expected.

Atomizers are built in to the cartridges and are disposed of after the e-liquid has run out. There’s nothing special about the atomizers and they perform just like other cartridges on the market. It does its job satisfactorily.

Additional Details

The Vapor Couture Entreé Kit is a nice entry point into vaping for women who are curious about e-cigarettes. It’s a bit pricey for one rechargeable battery and one disposable, but the overall design is nice. It’s definitely something you won’t be embarrassed to whip out in front of friends.

Flavors depend on the color chosen. Brushed platinum units will have Cool Arctic Mint, rose gold with Sweet Passion Fruit, and deep purple with Rich Tobacco. Flavors taste good, especially for pre-filled cartridges, which are notorious for having bad flavor.

Overall, performance is not great; it’s not bad either. It performs as expected just like any other cig-a-like. New users won’t mind this, but for those with at least a little experience, they’ll be better served with other, more capable, kits.
