SMOK is a Chinese manufacturer that supplies an easy-to-operate and powerful box mod and everything that is needed to vape on it. One of the company’s most popular kits is the Micro One 80W TC TFV4 starter kit. The name is self-explanatory; the tank of the Micro TFV4 is a minuscule version of the ever-popular TFV4 tank, keeping all its essential features without forgoing performance power. Of the features that make the Micro One such a great starter kit one of the most important is its airflow control system, one of the best on the market. The Micro One currently retails for $59.99.
The rectangle chassis of the product, with a small mod inside, is reminiscent of the design of the older M80 model. Looking at the specifications of this product, a couple of the features stand out: a strong 4000 mAh battery, a temperature control mode, and compatibility with stainless steel, titanium and nickel coils. The battery allows vapers to enjoy extensive vaping sessions before requiring a recharge. The OLED screen displays everything you need to know about the inner workings of the mod. While impressive, we do think the screen can be improved and made slightly bigger.
Filling the mod with juice is very simple once you’ve screwed the Micro TFV4 on to the R80 TC unit. All you have to do is remove the cap and fill through the port. We recommend priming the coil before use by allowing the juice inside the tank to sit for 5 minutes, more or less. The coils that come with the Micro TFV4 are created specifically for this product, but you can also choose a RBA coil individually. A Micro CLP3 0.3-ohm Coil Core is already pre-installed in the tank, which is used in the 30-60W range. Personally, we think it performs best between 40-50W, with both fantastic vapor and flavor.
Additionally, the kit contains a Micro STC2 Coil Core, composed of stainless steel, which too can be used with a power wattage of 30-60W. In our tests, we found that it works best at the 50-60W range, creating huge, puffy clouds with smooth and great tasting vapor that are better than the Micro CLP2 coil. But the most appealing feature is perhaps the temperature control, which can handle stainless steel coils. In terms of ease-of-use, the Micro STC2 coil is ready to be used right out of the box!
Upkeep is hassle free, as long as you make sure that there are no traces of juice left inside the tank before you change the coil. The coil previously in use is removed from the base by unscrewing the glass tank, and then replaced with a new one. With the tank extension kit, the capacity can be increased to 3.5ml.
The accessories that come with the Micro One 80W Micro TFV4 Starter kit is actually really generous on the company’s part. The box the Micro One comes in is made of cardboard and has the brand’s logo stamped on top. Accessories included are a TFV4 mini version, a temperature control mod, a a 0.25-ohm Stainless Steel Core and a 0.3 ohm Micro Fused Clapton Core, an extra glass tube, an extension adapter, a USB cable, some spare parts and a manual.
Most advanced mods that are available on the market require purchasing individual charge batteries and a tank for vaping. But with this starter kit, you just need some e-juice to begin vaping right away.
Last but certainly not least, the battery is one of the key features of the R80 mod, especially for beginners. You no longer need to purchase high-drain batteries, as this mod already has a large one built-in. An external charger isn’t necessary, making the process easier and faster.
The battery duration depends on the wattage used and the length of your vaping sessions, but it should last an entire day for those who don’t vape extensively. If the battery does get low, recharging takes less than an hour.
No kit in the market has come even close to the performance of the SMOK Micro One 80W TC. It is a complete all-in-one starter kit, and possibly the best kit for beginners or those trying to take their cloud chasing game one step further. The Micro TFV and the SMOK R80 TC mods both perform exceptionally, delivering exciting flavor and puffy clouds. The only potential downside to this kit is that the buttons on the device rattle. This is not a functional problem, but may be annoying for perfectionists.
Overall, we are impressed with the performance of this kit as well as its relatively low cost.
